2015 Favorites

Being that January is almost over I figured I could still pass with a  2015 Favorites post! Continue on and see what I loved in 2015. From beauty products, to TV shows I'll list them all!

BEAUTY

The one thing I think about when the word favorites comes to mind is COLOURPOP! I know I have already done an entire post on Colourpop Cosmetics, but their Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks are my favorite. The original two that were in my post are Trap and Kapow. Before the holiday season I thought I should make another purchase, and pick up Dr. M and Silhouette. These lippies are comfortable and stay on all day! The best part is they only cost $6!

The next beauty product that comes to mind is the Lorac Powder Contour Kit. Although I have not mastered the art of the perfect contour, this kit helps the process.
I love how smooth each powder is and the brush that comes with it, isn't cheap at all. Its extremely soft and helps place the product exactly where you want it. I then go in with a blending brush so I don't look crazy!
I use the medium shade to warm up my face but its a bit too warm for contouring. When looking for the deep contour look, I use a small amount of the darkest shade and blend it out. Works like a charm! $45

For as long as I can remember I have been an avid Urban Decay Primer Potion customer. It was the only eyeshadow primer I used for close to 8 years. I would always get compliments on how well my eyeshadow stayed. Recently it hasn't been working the same for me. I was disappointed and thought that I would never find something that worked as well. UNTIL .. I tried the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. My shadow lasts all day long and has NO creasing. (I still adore Urban Decay cosmetics and consider it my favorite brand!) $20

I always get asked about the eyeliner I use. I used to use the Kat Von liquid liner but I don't think they make it anymore. For the past few years I have been using the NYC Black Liquid Liner. It is only $2.99 and works as well as the Kat Von D one!

During the winter months my skin is extremely dry and I have trouble finding affordable moisturizers that work. I recently had the opportunity to try out the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. This bottle is only $12 at Sephora but lasts a pretty long time. It is a 2oz bottle. There is a 6oz jar as well, selling for $30.

Okay now for my FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE product of 2015..even though we fell in love late in the year!

Hottie Massage Bar by Lush

I use this as a lotion instead of a massage bar. It smells amazing, and feels great right before bed. Its extremely relaxing! $10.95

Rub Rub Rub
The Rub Rub Rub body scrub (thanks Carly) is amazing. It smells so fresh, and really exfoliates. It is meant to be used while in the shower, and lasts a while too! 9.95

TV Shows

IZombie
Criminal Minds because well Shemar Moore, lets be real! I also find behavioral analysis fascinating.
AHS
Grey's Anatomy
Lie to Me
United States of Tara (only three seasons, but hilarious)

Of course you can find all of these on Netflix... so Netflix is definitely a favorite of 2015.

YouTubers

PatrickStarrr (Beauty)
CarliBybel (Beauty) Her new kittens are adorable!
BumbleBaylee (crafting and art)
K Werner Design (crafting and card making)
Chrisspy (Beauty)
MirandaSings (EVERYTHING)
abookutopia ("BookTube")
WhittyNovels ("BookTube")

I have always loved beauty and lifestyle videos but in the past few months I have fallen in love with "BookTube" and crafting. There is a small community of book lovers on YouTube that do reviews, hauls, and collections. There is also a community of crafters who scrapbook, scrap-journal, create cards, draw, and design! I've found these videos to be quite relaxing. These are just a few of the many YouTubers I follow!

I hope you find some of your current or future favorites in this post! Let me know what your favorites were for 2015, and have an amazing 2016!

UPDATE!

UPDATE!

I'm Back!

Where have I been?

In early December I started a Marketing Internship with a wonderful company called Premama. I will make a post all about my internship experience once this trimester is over!

I then went home to spend my last Christmas in my childhood home. I celebrated with most of my favorite people (the rest were spread out all over the East Coast, and some in LA) eating, drinking, and most importantly laughing. My parents have decided to make their dream come true. They purchased a beach house in Delaware and will be retiring there at the end of this school year. The best part about it, I GET TO GO TOO!

I will be graduating next Fall, and walking this May. Being that I do not have a career yet or the means to have my own place, I will be relocating to a beautiful new place with my parents and MacPhee. I can't wait to see what Delaware has to offer.

I have also joined the JWU AdTeam and have been pretty busy with the responsibilities that come with joining. Another wonderful experience I am having at JWU, but very time consuming!

I FINALLY have time to sit down and get some posts up being that I am snowed in my apartment right now. Maybe mother nature knew I needed to slow my roll, and stop spreading myself so thin!

Once this goes up I will start working on a few new blog posts so I hopefully have something to post each week.

Lots of great things happening, and I am feeling so blessed!
